2024 Iowa Adult Education & Literacy Conference

The session will be divided into two portions.  In the first portion Danni will discuss her decision to host an Open House instead of having a Graduation Ceremony for each Life Skills class at ICIW (Iowa Correctional Institution for Women) and the resulting increased engagement of incarcerated students and support from security staff, counselors, and administration.  The second portion will be opened up for attendees to share their own experiences and brainstorm on ways to improve engagement & support for their own program.
